Ex-Cuz

This post is for all those dogs who are plagued by the so-called indestructable Cuz.

There is hope!

It took me just four hours to dismember and transform my Cuz into a much more dog-friendly shape.

I will tell you how I did it.

First, you have to start with the right attitude. Think of how much that Cuz deserves to be torn apart! With those pointy little horns, my Cuz looked like it was trying to be tougher than me! I am the leading dog around here (apart from my Dad)! I was determined to master this "trying to be tough" toy!

So the first thing I went for was the horns. To strike at his defiance. After about twenty minutes of trying to chew off the horns I realised my teeth just couldn't grasp them. So then, I changed my plan of attack.

I tried to crush it into submission but even though I was able to punch a few small holes in it, it still squeaked away happily. What else could I do?

Ah-hah! The feet! Never give up! I went to work chomping and playing and took my time about it. After about an hour I had one foot off.

Work in progress

Less than an hour later, I had the other foot off and had begun to grind down those little stumpy legs with my powerful jaws of doooooooom! Remember: You must be the master of the Cuz!

Totally legless

Finally, I used my super powerful canine teeth to punch the squeaker out and break it into little pieces, making the Cuz legless and voiceless.

The finished product...now it rolls right.

This wasn't a quiet process. Nor was it short. My hoomans endured several straight hours of high-velocity Cuz squeaking before I took out his voicebox. Needless to say, Mum was relieved when it was over. But it was all worth it because...

Now I am the master of the Cuz!

Bwahahahahaaaah....*ahem*...anyhow...

It hasn't all been destruction and mayhem around here. I have been a helpful dog too. This week Mum has been feeling really ill and faint. When Mum looked like she was going to faint, a couple of times I pushed her over to sit down. I take real good care of my hoomans. In return, they take real good care of me.

See? Mum even made me up a nice comfy hooman pillow to sleep on as a reward for looking after her. I very much appreciated it. I slept like a pup all night (except for pee breaks). In the mornings, Dad has been putting my bed up on the hooman bed so I can keep a close eye on Mum.

It's been hard to get a hold of Dad to help me post over the last few days. He has started his new work and he is very happy there. I am sure once he gets into a routine it will be easier to get his help to blog more often. For now, everydog, I am off to go watch TV with my hoomans on the couch.

Go forth and tame your Cuz!
Love and Licks,
Texas (and his humans).

Oh Texas,
Why did you want to wreck your Cuz?? Now you can't hear it squeaky. We love the squeaky noises. I Butchy still have not wrecked mine much to Mama's surprise. Now Snickers chewed a little of the tail off of her dino cuz, only cause Papa wasn't paying attention & just let her do it. Mama was mad at him. We really luv our cuz!!!

You did a great job on that cuz. I just hate the ones my mom got so I won't even do anything with it. They sit out in the backyard. That is great you take such good care of your mom.

Hmm, I going to have to get a Cuz for Maggie to destroy. She chomped right through a 12" compressed rawhide bone last night in all of about 20 minutes. The Pork Femur Bone last at least a couple of days, but it is soooo messy.

Enjoy, 3dogs

What a way to destroy a cuz! If we ever get one, we will be sure to follow your instructions!

We hope your mom feels better soon. We are really happy your dad found a job even it that means he can't play with you all day ... but he can buy dog biscuits!
